Types Of Label Paper

You can print on different types of paper. Your first choice is normal printing paper. If you want higher quality in printing or a self-adhesive paper, there are some pitfalls:

To thin
Self-adhesive label paper is usually too thin: one can see “through” it.

Permanent glue
Self-adhesive label paper has permanent glue, and cannot be removed once it’s in place.

Looks dull
Self-adhesive label paper looks dull, and printed graphics have little depth.

We do provide
Special made High Gloss self-adhesive paper of thick paper, specially made for labels. When printing with a color laser printer labels look as nice as they where printed in a printing house. Can be used on commercial products of high quality.
Note: Special made High Gloss self-adhesive paper can not be used in ink printers, surface is so glossy that the ink just form drops on it. This paper also has permanent glue, and cannot be removed once it’s in place.

Photo papers
Photo papers are great but unfortunately very expensive.

We recommend a coated, special dry gummed label paper. You can order great paper (see bottom of this page).

Best Choice Of Paper

We asked Strands printing house in Malmoe, Sweden who makes some of the world’s greatest labels, even with holograms, for the wine and brewing industry. If you are in the brewing industry and want the best printshop, try them for a good label paper.
